Brain Freeze was born out of the Union Kitchen community in Washington, D.C., where we set out to prove that dessert could have both brains and butter.

Each of our handcrafted ice cream sandwiches is inspired by a classic work of literature — from Cookie Doughstoevsky to All’s Quiet on the Western Fudge. We take the essence of a story (the drama, the nostalgia, the chaos) and translate it into something you can actually bite into.
